From where it hurts to the explanation

Patients usually know where it hurts, not what their condition is called. That is why the treatments page starts with an illustration of the arm. Click the wrist, the hand or the elbow and the conditions of that area open straight away.

Every condition follows the same structure: what it is, the symptoms, the treatment and what comes after. In the CMS each condition is a page of its own, while on the site it opens in an expandable block with its own address. A doctor can send a patient a link that opens the explanation of carpal tunnel syndrome directly.

  • A clickable anatomical illustration as the way into the treatments
  • Expandable blocks built on native details, with a shareable link per condition
  • Consultation hours per doctor and per location as structured data
  • Exercise schemes as PDF and instruction videos for aftercare
  • An FAQ for the day hospital with a sticky table of contents on the side
  • Team and locations entered once and reused on several pages

Consultation hours that add up

The doctors hold consultations at the hospital in Wilrijk and in private practices in Putte and Kapellen, each with their own days and hours. Instead of a free text field, the team enters the days, an optional note such as every four weeks, and the time slots per doctor and per location. The site shows this as a clear list, with the doctor and with the location, so it is the same everywhere.

Booking an appointment goes through the ZAS patient portal, and the button in the navigation leads straight there. The site runs on Kirby CMS with the GeNx Kirby Kit, with a light SCSS theme in earth tones and a few small scripts without a framework.
